Kassahun Ture (PhD) is an Assocate Professor and researcher at the Centre for Environmental Science, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. His work focuses on climate change adaptation and mitigation, climate policy and governance, climate finance, air pollution, and environmental sustainability. He is actively involved in interdisciplinary research, postgraduate teaching, and supervising MSc and PhD students.
Dr. Kassahun serves as the Coordinator of the Ethiopian Universities Forum for Climate Action (EUFCA), where he facilitates collaboration among member universities, government institutions, and international partners to strengthen climate action, research, capacity building, and resource mobilization. He has extensive experience in developing research proposals, managing collaborative projects, and fostering partnerships with national, regional, and international organizations.
His research interests include climate risk assessment, climate-induced loss and damage, climate finance, air quality and public health, environmental policy, and sustainable development. Dr. Kassahun has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications and is committed to advancing evidence-based solutions that support Ethiopia's climate resilience and sustainable development goals.
