  • Short Bio
Professor and Researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Educational Technology, and Digital Transformation in higher education. My research examines how individuals and institutions adopt AI, generative systems, and immersive technologies across Europe, Latin America, the Arab World, Southeast Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent. As a Portuguese researcher, I recognize the deep historical, cultural, and linguistic ties between Portugal and Africa — particularly with Lusophone African countries such as Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea‑Bissau, and São Tomé and Príncipe. I translate my research into Portuguese, Spanish, and French to reach African institutions and communities directly. I am joining Aphrike Research to replicate and culturally adapt my work on AI in higher education to African contexts — collaborating with local scholars, sharing open‑access resources, and contributing to equitable and impactful research across the continent.
